This is the exact record player I have (for the exact same reason!) AND got for my dad a few years back - but he has started using the pause button as STOP so records are “paused” for days hahaha. So I guess the tech illiteracy is genetic! It really does feel different - and as a friend pointed out a while back, no ads 😅 loooove your nyc look, suddenly searching for brown leather jackets on trr lol

love those short black boots! I bought my husband a record player for Christmas and going to estate sales to buy records has become my new favorite hobby. (I suppose I got the present for myself...)
Love the nostalgia and the way you used the record player as a metaphor for life! My kids are also big fans of old records, and my son’s favourite ever since he was a toddler was Sam Cooke. Also, that blue sweater on you is perfect!!!
A kitchen radio is on my list for this year to school my kids on non-digital music. I hadn't thought of a record player, but I'm thinking about one now! And puzzles are my love language. It's one of the few activities I can get my 8th grader to do with me that doesn't require threats of punishment or bribes.

I love, LOVE content that inspires me to slow down and enjoy the less fleeting joys. One of my most vivid and also most joyful childhood moments is listening to fairy tales on a vinyl. There were many but the world of Peter Pan made me always close my eyes and really visualise being part of the whole story.
Also, Traci, wouldn't you agree that those cowboy boots of yours go with absolutely everything in your closet? 😍
We’re a big on records over here too. It’s one of my favorite rituals to put one on at night or a weekend morning. 🥰🥰
And one time i stayed at an air bnb with my mom, sister and niece and all they had a CD player. Also retro (🫥) and only had 1 CD. Carole King’s Tapestry and if you’re only gonna have 1 to listen over and over to, that one was perfect.
