The Spring Dress Edit
Spring Dresses: Because Pants Are Just Leg Prisons.
Alright! Let’s start looking at some spring dresses. I really appreciated the feedback on my last newsletter and tried my best to find dresses that fit different budgets.
From my Instagram post, I gathered that people are looking for dresses for events like communions (so many responses), pre-prom parent outfits, baby showers, bridal showers, and more. No one mentioned needing a spring dress for a wild night at the club, so my selections will reflect styles that are cute, fashionable, and (hopefully) church-appropriate.
I’m a passionate believer in investing in good-quality clothing that can be worn for years. Sometimes, it hurts both your wallet and your soul when you hit “purchase”—but if you find a dress that works for multiple occasions and has a timeless style, it’s worth it. I sorted through countless dresses. Here’s how I decided if they were worthy of this post:
Would I wear it?
Is it comfortable?
Could I wear it for multiple occasions?
That’s it. I’m a simple human (I tell myself as I spend 45 minutes putting together an outfit for work). My husband will definitely laugh out loud when he gets to this part. I am anything but simple. I’m quite complicated on a GOOD day. Let’s dive in.
#1- JCrew: Let’s start with J.Crew. Did you know I like to shop here? Listen, I know—it’s overkill. Also, just to be clear, they don’t pay me to say these things. But in this era of preppiness, they were truly born to shine. What I love about my J.Crew purchases is that many of them end up being timeless. I can wear them not just for the season but for many years beyond.
I once read somewhere that you should never buy anything from J.Crew at full price—mainly because they run so many promos throughout the year. The item you love is bound to be 40% off before you know it.

#2 - Anthropologie: I love shopping at Anthropologie—it’s like a weird and trippy scavenger hunt. You never know what funky and exciting piece you’ll stumble upon! Anthropologie carries so many different brands, so I really rely on reviews to see how different people liked and fit into the dresses. Each brand has its own sizing guide when you go to select your size, so what might be an 8/M in one brand could be an 8/L in another.
Anthro has never let me down in the dress department—some of my favorite and most unique dresses have come from there! Here are a few of my favs:

#3- Sezane: Sezane is so fancy. It’s so fancy that I can’t even add the cute little French accent to the brand name in this post. I technically could, but I think it’s funny not to. Every time I look at their styles, it immediately makes me want to put on a bold red lip, a cute scarf, and eat a baguette.

#4- Zara: If Anthropologie is a fun, trippy scavenger hunt, Zara’s website is an anxiety-inducing maze where the prize is finding the "Add to Cart" button before the site crashes. Maybe it’s just me, but WHY DO WE POST PICTURES OF DRESSES IN BLACK AND WHITE? I can’t decide whether to wait for my slow WiFi to load the image or just move on. The difficult website navigation was worth it because no one loves a dress that comes with a belt more than me.

#5 - Gap/Banana Republic: Someone recently said that Gap is the new 'Aritzia.' If you don’t know what that is—join the club, we’re officially old. I once stumbled into Aritzia at a mall and couldn’t figure out why nothing fit and everything was cut in half. Before you know it I’ll start screaming out my window, “GET OFF MY LAWN.” However, the real MVP here was Banana Republic. I liked their options way better than Gap right now.
From Left to Right: Dress #1, Dress #2, Dress #3, Dress #4 (I am obsessed with this yellow dress!)
#6: H&M: I know many of us love Target. I mean, who doesn’t love being able to buy a fashionable outfit, a candle, flavored coffee creamer, new sandals, a basketball, and a pillow all in one trip? However, I just couldn’t find anything I really loved there. Don’t sleep on H&M. I get so many great pieces there for such affordable prices.

That’s all, folks! I hope some of these dresses inspired you! Please let me know if you end up investing in one of these choices.
If you’re one of the 100 people (just kidding, I only have like 60 followers on Instagram @timelesslytraci) who said they need to dress for a Communion—please coordinate with one another. We can’t all show up to the church wearing the same (yet adorable) polka-dot dress.
Thank you for not unsubscribing. I was afraid It would be bad karma I’ve received for unsubscribing to the Kim Marshall e-mails (lame teacher joke that hopefully some people will get).

Sneak Preview: This weekend, we're changing things up! Volume 2 of the series One Piece: Endless Possibilities will be out, and I'm excited to choose a piece I love (and hope you will too) to show you how versatile it can be.
