Spring Fashion Trends: Part 3 - Accessories & Style What You Already Own!
Here's what I'm loving and side-eyeing this Spring.
Let’s talk accessories, because this season is serving lewk after lewk. Some trends are easy wins (hello, silk scarves!), while others have me questioning my life choices (Hunter rain boots? Bubble hems?). Either way, fashion is supposed to be fun, so let’s break it all down—what I’m loving, what I’m trying, and what I’m keeping at arm’s length like an impractical woven clutch. And since this is the final part of my spring trends series, consider this the grand finale—no confetti, just strong opinions.
Also, if you missed Part 1 and Part 2, be sure to check them out as well.
Accessories
Silk scarves are having a major moment. Whether as a necktie, a headscarf, or draped over your shoulders instead of a sweater, they’re an easy way to elevate your outfit. I wore one as a necktie last week, and someone told me I was giving “Audrey Hepburn” vibes. I’ll take it.
Woven purses are in. Instead of slinging them over our shoulders, we’re now supposed to carry them under our arms—like a clutch. Whether this is realistic for me depends entirely on how much stuff I’m lugging around that day. Considering I usually leave the house with my wallet and phone floating freely in the abyss of my bag, this might actually feel oddly natural.
Ballet flats are carrying over from fall and winter. They pair perfectly with sundresses, satin maxi skirts, and straight-leg jeans.
Brown knee-high boots are trending for spring. I haven’t jumped on this one yet—I need to figure out how to style them without looking like I’m in a fall-themed photoshoot.
Loafers and boat shoes are helping us stay preppy from head to toe. I can get behind loafers, but boat shoes are new territory for me.
Sunglasses are always in. Keep an eye out for cat-eye shaped, oval shaped and classic styles like Wayfarers. Colorful tinted sunglasses are in style bringing back Y2K vibes. Personally, I don’t think oversized sunglasses ever left. Alas, the trend world tells me they’re “back.”

Simple Ways to Style What You Already Own
If layering a sweater over a button-down, let the sleeves peek out. It’s a subtle styling trick that makes a difference.
Tuck in your tops—whether it’s a front tuck or a full 360 tuck, it gives a polished look.
Roll up your sleeves past your elbows. Trust me, it’s a thing this spring.
Trend Transparency: Things I’m Hesitant About
Not every trend is for me, and that’s okay. Here are some I’m side-eyeing for Spring 2025:
Hunter rain boots. I never bought them back in the day because of their narrow fit. They do elevate the preppy-fisherman look, but I’m still not convinced they work for my frame—especially with shorts.
Bubble hems. They’re popping up on maxi skirts and dresses, but something about the silhouette makes me hesitate. Maybe I’ll change my mind (as I did with barrel jeans), but for now, I’m holding off.
