Omg what an exciting day! I didn’t watch the game but I did watch the score in real time on Google while I was doing some late night knitting and even that was exciting! Congrats to you Knicks fans. This is so good for NY and everyone else too I think. I loved your outfits all week long and OF COURSE shorts are work appropriate; it’s not like you’re wearing hot pants to work lol. Even though you def wanted to faint in jeans that was a great lewk too. Almost there. Final stretch now. Sigh
Knitting and bball? Sign me up, you quasi-sporty-gal, you! Honestly, your magical shorts styling reignited my passion that they can be work appropriate!! We got this!!
Born and raised a diehard Spurs fan and even I couldn’t help but getting pulled into their charisma, such an impressive and deserving title! That Friday outfit (!!!) and your student’s comment🥹
Go Knicks!!!! 💙🧡 Teaching Jude to root for them has been so fun. And I wish I’d had teachers as stylish as you growing up, going to school would have been a lot more fun!
As a Gen Z I was SHOCKED at the shorts comment. I wear all kinds of shorts to the office. My office is not the most formal of offices, but I still think they are definitely respectable work wear especially for a teacher in June!!
And we need to put “never let someone else’s opinion convince you that your dreams are too big” on a t-shirt
Sad to have lost your son as a Suns fan, but we were all rooting for the Knicks in our house too! I wear shorts to work all the time! Depends on the office, I think.
The underdog effect! I do have to admit that I was a giant Spurs fan growing up 🫣 for no other reason than I loved their logo. But I donned the starter jacket, became a giant David Robinson fan, could name the starting five for several years running, and would get booed as a nine year old at Sixers games in my Spurs jersey. But now I a full Knicks convert and this was so amazing!!
I lived in NYC for 5 years, turned 30 there, met my now-husband, and we got engaged there, so it's a very special city. We try to go there as much as we can. But when we moved to London, my love for NYC kind of decreased, ha! But this week I was telling my husband how much I wanted to be there and experience the Knicks games and be at bars with everyone out in the streets! Friends were telling me how everyone is so friendly, hahahah! So now I want to move to NYC 😩. I may need to take a quick trip. Hey, that white outfit with the scarf, love it so much! J.Crew should give you an ambassador medal, you are a true fan of that brand and I love it! I'm like that but for Madewell, hahahaha! But J.Crew is surprising me more and more.
a teacher that can pull of anything! what a compliment, especially from the tough crowd of a teenager. love the gingham top so much, and the scarf waist tie. so good!! there have been so many late nights, up past my bedtime between the knicks and summer house the last few weeks. well worth it, nyc must be crazy right now. wish i could feel that energy! xx
Well, I've lived in Texas for 18 years, so I was rooting for the Spurs (but not in a diehard way). I recognize the achievement and excitement around the Knicks and JB.
Excellent outfit rundown per usual (I can't believe y'all still have school).
I've started a compliments page (in my Commonplace Notebook, of course)--never forget a killer compliment like you received!

RESPECT. TY for the kind words, Anna! It was such a great series. But also, DYLAN HARPER IS GOING TO BE A PROBLEM! I was so impressed with him.
Love the shirts with the blue man tailored shirt. And yay Knicks!

I've got an old Spike Lee tee from way back when that's coming out tomorrow for work! Love this for 'our' city! We deserve all the joy 💙🧡

Off to Sunday (starting with oatmeal, sad Nina).
My favorite teacher that can pull off anything. Loved the fits this week!
