My eternally curious self is now wondering how the students handled that essay prompt, especially because I don’t have a ready answer for it, but that might be because my strongest memory of high school govt class was my teacher slipping up and saying “unmanded fundates”
Omg hahaha!!! There’s no “right answer” (as you know!!) — many said that social movements are needed to force Congress to act. Without social movements, there’s little to no action.
PS- I can’t say Stare Decisis correctly no matter how many times I practice. 😂 I see the word and my mind blanks. But let the decision stand, baby! HMD, Rabina 💗

Kacey Musgraves was right down the road from me at Gruene Hall for THREE shows this week for her album release, kicking myself for not snagging tickets before the bots up charged the heck out of them, but feeling inspired to add the vinyl to our collection! Unclear to me how you always look so fab and put together under these circumstances (being an AP Government teacher right now…I bow down) but you do!! And send me the lab so I can write them a strongly worded letter. Nobody has time to make appointments and get turned away!

Their docs to use (had to use at least one) was Article 1, Letter from Birmingham Jail & the 1st Amendment!
