Ugh I could feel the stress of back to school and I have a toddler! Yes to savoring all the slowness we have left but also trying to sprinkle it throughout the year - that’s my goal!

I think they’re a little sheer—I can faintly see my hand underneath the fabric. They have this long nude lining that helps when wearing them. I always just wear nude undergarments, and so far nobody has come up to me and said they can see anything, lol.
I just got them in black because I like them so much. I’m not sure if this is helpful!!

Traci I loved this so much. First of all, I imagine that fall has such a different feeling for teachers. I guess I never really thought about it, but summer break has an entirely different feeling for you! Second, I adore all of the ideas here, and obviously am adopting very similar strategies right now as we think about easing into the new season. I am lucky in that I live in Southern California, so in some ways, I can wear things like shorts and flip-flops year-round if I wanted to. And your post, along with a few others I’ve read recently, is making me realize that I can be more flexible with my year round styling. So happy to see this post out in the world, it’s as good as gold!

You might be the undisputed queen of shorts + loafers!! My boys also wear shorts all.the.time. I think my youngest wore pants to school ONCE last year when I threatened him that the mom police would get me (it was TEN degrees). While I’m not going that far, I’m also going to make it a personal goal to wear shorts as long as I can. They’re just so good right now, and there’s nothing better with sweatshirts and cashmere!!
THAT IS LIKE MY 10-Y.O.! I’m over here thinking there has to be some kind of official hypothermia temperature threshold. The “police threat”........ I like it.
