The evil eye bracelet and symbolism is so perfect. This entire post felt like a deep cleansing breath, from the lake images (the deer!), the slow living, the fam time, the leisurely cup of coffee. Ahhh…. Kait was a perfect guest for this post.
The aviator glasses look so great on you, and you truly have perfected the art of dressing for slow days with style. Love the sweats with ballerina flats. 🥿
Couldn't agree more! Merve really nailed it in her post. I learned so much! How cute are the deer? In the winter they get these really cute fluffy coats and they resemble cute little bears. I spent the weekend researching what foods were healthy for them to make sure they were nourished (shhh, don't tell the HOA). Ballerina flats and sweats was wild for me, but I liked it!

i so relate to this!!! we have a family lake house that is just the best, and easiest place to be in the summers. getting to spend that time as a family under one roof is irreplaceable (and sometimes overwhelming lol). i'm also obsessed with evil eyes - such a cute bracelet! and, i loved that post about why gabriel deleted ig. i deleted mine, too - i vividly remember being on vacation in italy years ago and seeing someone in my feed in Bali and i was like omg i want to go there...meanwhile i'm on an incredible trip in italy that i dreamed of taking. the comparison felt so insane and like we are never satisfied when we're constantly in a state of comparison. so happy to not be on there anymore. love love love the casual looks! pairing my sweats with ballet flats stat! xx

It is a mixture of beautiful bliss and overstimulation overload. I am actually contemplating deleting my IG. You may have helped give me the nudge to actually do it.
We brought our kiddos to Aruba over the summer, and all they wanted to do when we got to this stunning hotel beach was go on their tablets. We ended up taking them away for the trip and for M-F with very limited weekend access. As parents, we were like, if the most exciting part of their day is behind a screen instead of the beauty in this amazing opportunity, we are doing them a disservice!

LOL to all of your lake sayings 😂 i haven’t regretted a day of being off ig, but being on here i leave feeling better & inspired. kids don’t even know how good they have it being in aruba! it’s sad how the devices are being designed to be so addictive. i feel for them! but what i would give for a sunny lake or aruba day right about now! xx
chia pudding forever !! i pretty much eat chia pudding every morning but switch out the fruits I eat and I somehow (thankfully) do not get tired of it.
also loving how you styled your sweats with balllet flats !!

I love lake life. I grew up spending my summers at the Lake of the Ozarks and now that I’m on the East Coast we spend a good portion of our summer in the Adirondacks exploring the endless waterways. I love the idea of taking a lake trip in the winter and am so glad you had such a lovely time with family. Thanks for featuring Kait and sharing those videos!
